Bulgarian Property Insurance

All HHB apartment buildings are insured against major risks such as fire, earthquake, landslide, short circuit and malicious acts. The cost of this protection has been built into the annual maintenance charge. You can download the General Conditions below.

HHB are an agent for Allianz and can arrange property insurance for Bulgarian properties not built by HHB as well as contents insurance to our existing clients.

Applying for contents insurance:

Contents insurance is expensive in Bulgaria and the insurance companies will only payout on listed items with proof of purchase. We would recommend that you insure only items such as, electrical goods and major furniture.

To apply download the application form below. This is a generic form for both buildings and contents. Complete the form and list all the contents you wish to insure on a SEPARATE sheet and attach your receipts. The cost of insuring your contents against fire and theft will be approximately £37 per £1000 in the first year. You will receive a quote from us once we have received your completed form. (20% discount for property with telephone-connected alarm)

Applying for buildings insurance:

To apply download the application form below complete and return with a copy of your Notary Deed. Once we have received your application we will contact you to check the details.

For properties in the Varna area we offer an additional service at a cost of £25 per year which ensures that if something does happen and leads to a claim under the insurance policy(s) HHB will deal with all matters on your behalf and communicate with you in the UK.
