Sleeping: The bedroom has a large double bed with single mattresses. A door opens on to the balcony and there is an ensuite bathroom with bath and handheld shower. The sofa bed can accommodate 1-2 people and the chair bed will sleep 1 (ideal for singles/ children) Both the living area and the bedroom have wardrobes and there is a chest of drawers and 2 bedside cabinets in the bedroom.
General: Our apartment is on the 3rd floor and is comfortably and fully equipped, including extra storage space in the hallway. We have a fire which will give additional heating on those cold winter nights. (This can be lit by the staff at a time to suit you.) The balcony can be accessed from the living area. This apartment is lovely and bright and gets the sun all day.
The bathroom is fully tiled and has a shower.
The open plan living area has a 3 seater sofa, armchair, coffee table, flat screen TV, TV unit, DVD player, extending dining table and 4 chairs. There are 3 chairs on the balcony.
The kitchen is fully equipped: it has a built in oven, hob and extractor fan and fridge with freezing compartment.
In the basement, we have a heated ski locker, with seat, coat hooks and warm air nozzles for drying your boots.
The leisure area consists of indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, gym and a massage room. There is a cafe where you will be able to get light snacks.
During your stay, the apartment will be given a daily light clean, toiletries are provided and a welcome pack can be provided on request.

Entertainment: The old town of Bansko is a world heritage site and has many interesting buildings and there is a Sunday market. Bansko has 70 km of skiing and 160 snow cannons. There is a half pipe and a funpark for snowboarders, plus off piste skiing. There is also an open air ice skating rink. Go bowling at the Hotel Strazhite or dance at the Amnesia, one of the most popular night clubs or try your luck at the casinos.
In the summer, you go mountain biking, walking, horse riding, whitewater rafting etc, plus various excursions are available. There are festivals held during the summer, including the renowned jazz festival.
Predela 2 has a children's play area outside and is a few minutes walk from the edge of the National Park where you can walk, mountain bike, picnic and explore.
Eating/Living: There are numerous mehanas (restaurants) in the old town and also some near the apartment which are excellent and relatively cheap.

Other airlines fly directly to Sofia from the London airports.
The transfer to Bansko takes from 2 1/2- 3 hours. You are better prebooking the taxi and there are a number of companies which offer this service. www.banskoexpress.com will meet your plane and offers group bookings.
Alternatively, get the local bus from the centre of Sofia.
Car hire - prebook, winter accessories (eg snow chains) and consider a satnav.

On site: The old town (9th/10th century) of Bansko is surrounded by the Pirin, Rhodope and Rila mountain ranges and at the edge of the Pirin National Park which is included in the UNESCO list for cultural and natural sightseeing. The centre of the town is a listed world heritage site and besides the local church, St. Trinity, there are many historical, architectural, and cultural monuments in Bansko which are well worth visiting. The cobbled streets wind through the town and you will see traditional stone built houses, where some animals, hens etc, are kept. Visit the Sunday markets - there is a separate one for fresh fruit and veg. You will see horse and carts, the traditional method of transport. There is a large children's playpark in the area between the markets (Ul Tsar Simeon street)
There are numerous mehanas and bars, such as the Happy End and Lion bars. It is relatively inexpensive to eat and drink, compared to the Alpine resorts. There is a newly complete mall near the gondola and many other shops, including designer shops, to explore.
Less than 15 mins away: Bansko is an all year round resort, therefore an ideal base for a mountain holiday. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, paragliding, cross country skiing, tennis, walking, fishing, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, horseriding, orienteering,etc

Less than 45 mins away: Take the scenic narrow-guage railway from Bansko to Velingra, visit the Rila Monastery or Melnik, the local wine growing area or explore the caves of Smolyan.
There is a bear rehabilitation park at Belitsa which is 30km from Bansko, covered with forests, glades and natural waters. Guided tours are available every day on the hour when the park is open (from April through November). The park opens at 10am, and closes at 6pm in the Spring (April-May), at 8pm in the Summer (June-September), and at 4pm in the Autumn (October-November).
