Sleeping: The apartment can comfortably accommodate 6 people plus cot. It has 2 smartly furnished bedrooms, 1 with double bed and 1 with 2 single beds (flush-fitting, can combine to a double). Both bedrooms have triple wardrobes, 2 bedside tables with lamps, and mirrors. The double bedroom also has a chest of drawers. A baby cot is available (cot blankets provided, please bring own sheets for cot.) . The lounge has a double sofa bed and also a single chair bed. We have provided some extra hanging space in the hallway and also a set of drawers in the lounge for guests using the lounge as additional sleeping accommodation. Both bedrooms have central heating radiators and there are also separate free-standing electric heaters.
General: Our new, first-floor self-catering apartment in the smart Predela complex is fitted with good quality furniture and fully equipped for a comfortable stay.
The apartment offers central heating throughout and air conditioning in the lounge. Additional electric radiators are provided.
The fully fitted bathroom has bath with overhead shower. Hairdryer provided.
The open-plan living area has a double sofa bed, chair bed, coffee table, TV unit, drawer units, TV, DVD player (children’s DVDs provided), CD player, extending dining table and chairs for 6 people. Good selection of family board games and books provided.
Incorporated is a well-equipped fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and extractor, fridge/freezer and microwave oven. Plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery for 10-12 settings. Iron and ironing board provided.
The hallway has plenty of coat hooks and a cupboard with hanging space.
There is a separate storage room with extra coat hooks and washing machine within the apartment.
The balcony is accessible from the lounge and both bedrooms. It has a table and four chairs.
Bright, south-facing leisure facility. Indoor swimming pool with glass roof, Jacuzzi, fitness room, sauna and bar.
Bedding and bathroom towels provided (please bring own linen for cot).
Full clean at end of stay.

Entertainment: Bansko is a renowned base for winter skiing holidays with 70 kms of ski runs. There is an outdoor ice rink nearby.
In the summer you can go hiking in the mountains, arrange horse riding lessons/trekking, play tennis. Other activities include mountain biking, climbing, white-water rafting, ATV's etc.
Lots of excursions are on offer (e.g. Rila Monastry, the wine-making town of Melnik, fascniating caves and gorges, scenic narrow-guage railway.
Bansko hosts a number of festivals, including the famous jazz festival in August.
Eating/Living: Bansko boasts numerous traditional taverns (mehanas) with great food and a fantastic atmosphere. There are also a number of livelier bars and clubs. Food and drink is relatively cheap in Bansko compared with other ski resorts in Europe.

General: Predela has a garden area and also outside parking. Just a short walk and you are at the start of the National Park.

GETTING THERE: Direct scheduled flights to Sofia from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton & Manchester. EasyJet budget flights from Gatwick & Manchester. WizzAir from Luton. Indirect scheduled flights from other UK airports (e.g. Lufthansa, Air France, Czech Air etc.). Some direct charter flights available for high season.
The transfer from Sofia Airport to Bansko takes around 2½ hours (most people use a private taxi transfer service)
During the winter www.banskoexpress.com offers group transfers for people on the same incoming flights from the UK.
There is also a public bus service from Sofia.

On site: The historic town of Bansko is located in the Pirin Mountains. It is an all-seasons resort about 160 km south of Sofia at the foothills of the Pirin National Park with its friendly people and traditions.
Bansko’s cobbled streets are steeped in history and culture with traditional stone-built houses and family-run bars and restaurants (mehanas). There are also more modern bars and lively clubs.
The town is a fast-growing mountain resort, widely recognized as the best ski resort in Bulgaria. Bansko offers great value for money with food and drink around one-third of the cost of typical French resorts.
Less than 15 mins away: Skiiing: Bansko’s ski season runs from mid-December until mid-April with a state-of the art lift network and new gondola, access to over 70 km of marked pistes, snow canons & good off-piste opportunities. The final 7 km run back to town is floodlit for night skiing. Bansko has Bulgaria’s first terrain park with half pipe. A kindergarten service is available. There are cross-country trails and marked walks, and snow-shoe walks are also planned. The new outdoor ice rink is very popular.
Bansko is also an ideal base for a mountain holiday at other times of the year. Activities include hiking in the National Park with its beautiful lakes and Alpine forests. Mountain biking, white-water rafting, horse riding, a pony and cart ride with picnic.
The nearby village of Dobrinishte has a popular outdoor pool fed from mineral springs. There is also a trout farm just outside Dobrinishte where you can fish for your own lunch!
In summer Bansko hosts the famous annual Bansko Jazz Festival with numerous other festivals also held throughout the year.
Less than 45 mins away: Possible excursions to take you a bit further away include the bear rehabilitation park, the Rila Monastery, the wine-growing area of Melnik and the caves around Smolyan. You can also take the scenic narrow-guage railway from Bansko or Dobrinishte to Velingrad.
