Boost for property prices as Bulgaria wins approval from the European Commission to join the EU on January 1st, 2007
News that the European Commission is recommending that Bulgaria joins the EU on January 1st next year is set to boost property prices along the Black Sea coast.
Stephen Dainty, managing director of HHB Holiday Homes which builds and sells apartments in the prestigious Golden Sands resort on the Black Sea coast, says the announcement is certain to lead to fresh interest in the property market.
He says: “This is excellent news for buyers. EU membership attracts investment into a country and this leads to rising property prices. It’s a great time to get onto the property ladder in Bulgaria.”
HHB Holiday Homes is one of the largest developers in the Golden Sands resort, the most sophisticated on the Black Sea coast.
As well as rising property prices, the EU announcement is likely to see more flights into Varna International Airport, which is just a few miles from Golden Sands. The airport already has direct flights from London and several regional airports and is due to be upgraded to offer better facilities for passengers.
HHB Holiday Homes has a number of prestigious developments in Golden Sands, including:
Palma Court - A selection of apartments just a few minutes from the beaches, bars and restaurants of Golden Sands.
The complex is due to be finished in April 2007, ready for the summer season and will include a sauna and fitness room, landscaped gardens and a swimming bath plus sun-bathing terrace. Prices start at £49,995 for a two-bedroom apartment.
Spring Court is also close to the beach and is a small development of 14 apartments and three penthouses.
Again, there is a sauna, fitness room and swimming pool on site. Prices start at £42,000 for a first floor two-bedroom apartment with a sea view.
Seaview Court offers 18 stylish apartments in two buildings, just a few minutes from the amenities of Golden Sands. Prices start at £48,000.
